Speed Skating Program Weighed, OK'd (East Aurora Advertiser)

Speed skating will be the newest program offered by the Town of Aurora Department of Parks and Recreation, and training sessions will take place at the Time Warner Cable Classic Rink on Riley Street. The Aurora Town Board approved the program at its Dec. 8 meeting, but not before Town Supervisor Dwight Krieger raised questions about running programs not based on town property.

New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo this fall appointed East Aurora resident J. David Sampson to the post of New York State's deputy attorney general for regional affairs. Sampson will oversee 225 lawyers working statewide in the attorney general's 13 regional offices, managing what Sampson called the "front door to the attorney general's office."
