Matt received a police escort from a city council meeting in Asheville when he refused to stand by quietly and watch the city council disenfranchise thousands of voters in western North Carolina. No one can say that Matt is unwilling to lead by example and "take a stand" for what he feels passionate about. Matt has lived in western North Carolina for the past 10 years. He gained his knowledge of local issues by working with various print and radio media outlets during the past decade. Matt served for eight years in the U.S. Armed Forces as an Air Force medic and is a Gulf War I veteran. Matt takes a stand for the country he loves and has served each weekday at 3:00 pm EST on WWNC 570 AM.
