FeedBurner:    FeedBurner

RSS enthusiasts who use the FeedBurner application can take advantage of the "Add To fwicki" services integrated within FeedBurner. Activating the "Add To fwicki" service allows the fwicki users in your audience to add your FeedBurner feed to their fwicki mashup. This gives your site or blog feed additional syndication and exposure.

There are two ways to activate fwicki services within the FeedBurner application:

  • Activate The Chicklet Chooser:

The "Chicklet Chooser" option in FeedBurner allows the FeedBurner user to select from the web's most popular subscription services for their website or blog. The user simply selects the services available in the FeedBurner application by going to the following location within FeedBurner:

Publicize >> Chicklet Chooser

The user can then include the "Add To fwicki" chicklet by selecting the fwicki chicklet from the list:

** Option 4 **

Adding the "Add To fwicki" chicklet to the FeedBurner "Browser Friendly" page:

FeedBurner users can make it very easy for anyone who visits their FeedBurner "Browser Friendly" page to add their FeedBurner feed to a fwicki mashup. Allowing visitors to add their FeedBurner feed to a fwicki mashup gives the feed owner the opportunity to leverage the additional syndication tools provided by the fwicki RSS mashup application. FeedBurner users can capture additional readership as their visitors add the FeedBurner feed to fwicki mashups which are distributed around the globe.

  • Activate the "Add To fwicki" service on your FeedBurner "Browser Friendly" page:

To activate the service within FeedBurner, go to the following location within FeedBurner:

Optimize >> Browser Friendly

  1. In the "Appearance Options" box, click the "More subscription options" link.
  2. Below the second set of Chicklets there will be a text box and an Add button to the right of the box.
  3. Enter the following web address into the box: http://www.fwicki.com/flare/feedburner-flare.xml
  4. Click The Add button.
  5. Click the SAVE button near the bottom of the page (see the following illustration)
