Cosequin Equine Powder Concentrate (280 gm)plays an important role in maintaining optimal joint function. The superior quality ingredients in this patented formula provide the raw materials that are essential for the synthesis of synovial fluid and the major components of articular cartilage Administration: The suggested initial dose for a horse under 600 lbs is 2 scoops of powder in the AM and 2 scoops of powder in the PM. For horses over 600-1,200 lbs use 3 scoops of powder in the AM and 3 scoops of powder in the PM. For horses over 1200 lbs give 4 scoops in the AM and 4 scoops in the PM. The initial administration period is 4 to 6 weeks. However, responses can be seen in as few as 2 weeks. After achieving a good response, the total daily amount can be reduced by 1 level scoop each week. The suggested maintenance dose is 1 scoop daily for a horse under 600 lbs. Give 1-2 scoops daily for a horse 600-1200 lbs and 2 scoops daily for a horse over 1200 lbs. The amount can be increased at any time to maintain the desired comfort level. Ingredients: Glucosamine hydrochloride (derived from shellfish), microcrystalline cellulose, sodium chondroitin sulfate (derived from bovine cartilage), and manganese ascorbate. Guaranteed Analysis: (1 level scoop) Glucosamine HCL min. 1800 mg Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate min. 600 mg Manganese (Ascorbate) min. 16 mg |
